Daniele Quercia's keynotes reveal his interest in the relationship between online and offline realms.
Currently, Quercia works as a social media expert at Yahoo Labs in Barcelona. Previously, he occupied the position of Horizon senior researcher at The Computer Laboratory of the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, his PhD thesis at UC London was nominated for the BCS Best British PhD dissertation in the area of Computer Science. Quercia was also an MBA Technology Fellow of London Business School and a Microsoft Research PhD scholar.
Quercia's work is centered around using computer science tools and methods to apply social scientific experiments. His research has been published in esteemed venues, such as Ubicomp, RecSys, WSDM, and he has been featured on The Independent, New Scientist and BBC.
