Cameron Russell's keynotes focus on body image, beauty and the legacy of appearance oppression that she is fortunate to benefit from.
Russell is an American fashion model who's worked for publications such as Vogue, Ann Taylor, Benetton, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Armani, Oscar de la Renta and Yves Saint Laurent. She started modelling at age 16 when her mother's friend landed her a spot Ford Models agency. From there she moved to several different agencies before signing with Elite Model Management in 2011.
Although Russell has enjoyed a wealth of success in her modelling career, she also wished to share her experiences and expose a side of modelling not immediately apparent to most people. For this, she began her speaking career. Her keynotes often center around unfair perceptions of beauty in society. She speaks not from the point of view of someone who has felt oppression, but from someone who has benefited from appearance preferences in her industry yet is aware of the issues.
