The Bill Thomas speeches bring to light beneficial changes that can be made to long-term care facilities for the aging portions of the population. Thomas strongly believes that societies need to consciously accept and engage with aging populations in order to improve their well-being.
Through his educational studies Thomas gained perspective into the world of long-term health care and administrations of the health-care industry. In terms of his education, Thomas earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from State University College and graduated from Harvard Medical School. From there, Thomas went on to graduate from Highland Hospital/University of Rochester Family Medicine Residency -- where he was selected as one of the top residents in the country. With a passion for improving the well-being of elder individuals, Thomas opened a geriatric medical practice in 1994.
Currently, Thomas lectures at the SUNY Health Science Center's Clinical Campus and is a Professor of Aging Studies and Distinguished Fellow at UMBRC's Erickson School. By positively addressing and interacting with the aging population and their well-being, the message in Bill Thomas speeches is to redefine long-term care facilities for future generations on the cusp of aging.
