The great-grandson of Henry Ford, he graduated from Princeton University in 1979 with a degree in history. He then received an S.M. in Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Almost immediately after he joined Ford, working in a wide range of departments, gaining valuable experience. He became the CEO of the company in 2001 until 2006, at which point he stepped down. To date, he remains as the company's executive chairman.
