Ben Saunders is known for his polar explorations and his motivational speeches on the human limits, whether they be geographical, mental or physical. He encourages people to explore their own personal potential and limits. The endurance athlete is best known for his polar exploration to the North Pole in the Spring of 2004, making him the third in history and also the youngest to reach the North Pole on foot, unsupported.
He is the honorary Vice-President of the Geographical Association, the Ambassador for the Prince's Trust, a supporter of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and the Orchid Cancer Appeal as well as a Patron of the British Schools Exploring Society. Contributing to a series of publications including, 'The Middle of Nowhere' by the Lonely Planet and Worldchanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century.
