Currently, Carter works for the Cause and Affect Foundation, an NGO that funds schools, meal plans and clinics in impoverished countries. Through his work there, he gained a new perspective on the issue of malnutrition. Prior to this position, Carter worked with various organizations and community-based groups to collect and further enhance citizen's quality of life. In terms of his education, Carter received his degree in Cultural Anthropology from University of Michigan and his Master's in International Relations from George Washington University.
