Adam Alter is an author who has given speeches on human behavior. Alter is the assistant professor of marketing and psychology at NYU's school of business and psychology department. Alter has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of New South Wales.
Alter's first book is entitled 'Drunk Tank Pink: And Other Unexpected Forces That Shape Our Thoughts, Feelings, and Behaviors.' It focuses on the calming effect that the color pink has on inmates, students, athletes and more. This book was released in March of 2013. Alter discusses why pink has a calming effect as opposed to other colors and provides readers with various examples of tests that have been conducted on the drunk tank pink theory.
