He started his career as a senior consultant at KPMG, holding various leader positions at Nolan, Norton and Company, AIIM International, and Guardent thereafter. In 2001, he assumed a position as a Futurist at Toffler Associates. His next career move led him to become a professor at the Fisher College of Business, where he stayed for 14 years. Currently, he writes for a column at ComputerWorld and is the Futurist and Executive Director of the IT Leadership Academy.
His work has appeared in several business publications, including Business Week, The Financial Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He has served as an advisor to the founding editors at Fast Company Magazine.
