Shibley Telhami

The Shibley Telhami talks on Arabic identity in the Middle East give a brief overview of the speaker's studies on public opinion and experience polling in the region for about a decade. The Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development currently works at the University of Maryland, College Park Campus.

The educator received his own Bachelors degree in Mathematics from City University of New York (Queen's College) before obtaining his Masters in Philosophy and Religion from the Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley) and his PhD in Political Science from the University of California (Berkeley). Previous to teaching at UMD, he worked at institutions of higher education including Cornell, USC, Princeton and Columbia.

While the Shibley Telhami talk delves into his knowledge concerning international relations, it does not discuss his non-resident fellowship at the Brookings Institute or the books he's written.
