Scott Mccloud is mostly known for his speeches that subvert the audience's participation from a formal to an informal experience, where he uses colorful, cartoon-like ventures to tell stories. The Boston born cartoonist is renowned for his non-fiction books about comics, Reinventing Comics, Making Comics and Understanding Comics.
Mccloud's passion for cartooning started in 1975 during junior year of high school. In 1982, he graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustrations. In 1984, he created Zot!, a science fiction and superhero comic book series. Later, his other print comics include, Destroy!!, The New Adventures of Abraham Lincoln, DC Comic' Superman Adventures and Superman: Strength.
