Sam Chaltain

The Sam Chaltain keynote speeches speak about the importance of education and learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Chaltain believes that education needs to much more active and engaging than it is currently. He thinks that we need to get rid of the assembly line structure of learning and instead focus on what will better our young people in terms of their emotional and spiritual needs.

Chaltain is both a writer and education advocate. He is the national director of the Forum for Education & Democracy, as well as the founding director of the Five Freedoms Project. He was also an English and History teacher in New York.
