Peggy McIntosh

The keynotes by Peggy McIntosh focus on feminist, anti-racist activist and educational equity. McIntosh often talks about unearned privileges resources white people are born into. These keynotes strongly emphasize that these privileges are not distributed equally to individuals of every race or ethnicity. Peggy also focuses an equal amount of her energy on the SEED Project, which helps teachers create seminars on gender fairness and multi-culturally equality.

McIntosh studied at Harvard University where she received her doctorate degree. In addition to this, she is also the recipient of two honorary degrees and was awarded the Klingenstein Award for Distinguished Educational Leadership from Columbia Teachers College.

McIntosh is also a consulting editor to Sage: A Scholarly Journal on Black Women. Her role in advancing the education of women's studies in universities across North America has been and continues to be instrumental.
