Speaker Nader Tehrani is an American designer and educator. Tehrani earned a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. He then earned his Master's of Architecture and Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. In 1986, he began his own practice. He received the Young Architects Award in 1997, from the Architecture League of New York. His practice was called 'Office dA.'
Currently, Tehrani is redesigning architecture schools in University of Melbourne and the University of Toronto.
In 2007, Tehrani received the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in Architecture.
Previously, he had also been awarded with the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Architecture.
Tehrani has given speeches on design, and how best to teach architecture.
