Michael Archer

Michael Archer is a paleontologist as well as a professor of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of New South Wales. He is a member of the order of Australia and in 1990, he won the Eureka Prize for the promotion of science. Earlier in his career, Archer was the Curator of Mammals for the Queensland Museum.

Michael Archer is well known for his passionate views on resurrecting certain extinct species. He feels that humans are responsible for their extinction and that science could still learn a lot from these various species. He gives speeches on the idea of recreating these species and putting them back into the wild.

Archer is also openly against creationism.
