Michael Anti

The Michael Anti speeches focus on the important role that the Internet plays in China, as well as the need for freedom of the press. Anti is a Chinese journalist and a political blogger; in 2005 his blog was deleted by Microsoft, which made headlines news across the globe.

Anti graduated from the Nanjing Normal University in 1995 with a degree in Industrial Electrical Automation. In 2007, he attended the University of Cambridge as a Wolfson Press Fellow, and in 2008 he became a Harvard University Nieman Fellow.

Anti has experience in both the Chinese and American journalism streams, as in 2003 he worked as a researcher for the Washington Post and later moved to the The New York Times as a researcher for three years.
