Speaker Matt Bai is currently the chief political correspondent for the New York Times Magazine. Before Bai joined the team at the New York Times, he worked as a desk reporter for the Boston Globe. He was also a national correspondent for Newsweek Magazine. In 2002, Bai became the national affairs columnist for Rolling Stone Magazine.
Bai is the author of a book entitled 'The Argument: Inside the Battle to Remake Democratic Politics.' This book was the only political book to be named in the New York Times 2007 notable books list. Bai's works were featured in the 2005 and 2006 The Best American Political Writing.
Bai was a fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
