The keynotes by Marissa Blankenship reveal her passion for special education and student support. As a sophomore student studying psychology and sociology at The Ohio State University, Blankenship has taken the opportunity to become involved in many student programs.
Currently, she is a student staff member at the Wexner Medical Center's Nisonger Center Transition Services Department, located within the University. Blankenship also acts as a research assistant in the Development, Language and Cognition Laboratory, where she conducts language acquisition research in conjunction with the Psychology Department and COSI Columbus. The Student Alumni Council and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority also list Blankenship as a member.
Recently, Blankenship was invited to speak at the TEDxOhioState conference, where she gave a rousing presentation on living life in the interim.
