Lynda Weinman

Along with her husband Bruce Heavin, Weinman is the co-founder of Lynda.com, an award-winning online software training website. Prior to this venture, she was a special effects animator in the film industry, working on such films as 'RoboCop 2'(1990) and 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' (1989). She was also a faculty member of the American Film institute, the Art Center College of Design, UCLA and the San Francisco State Multimedia Studies program, where she taught interactive design, motion graphics and animation.

Unusual for the founder of an online startup, Weinman has a degree in the Humanities from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. As becomes apparent in the Lynda Weinman keynotes, she was able to become fluent in animation, business and computers through making use of effective and motivated learning methods.
