Steiner lives in Washington, DC and has a husband and three kids. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Harvard College. After college she wrote for Seventeen Magazine at 21-years-old. From there, Steiner went on to contribute to Mademoiselle and Money Magazine among others. She also had an essay published in the anthology The College Reader called "Starving for Perfection."
Steiner is a book author as well with three titles to her name. Her latest book is called Crazy Love and is a New York Times bestseller and People Pick. She's also edited the book Mommy Wars: Stay-at-Home and Career Moms Face Off on Their Choices, Their Lives, Their Families in 2006. After Mommy Wars, Steiner wrote more than 500 columns for the Washington Post's online column.
