Kirk Sorensen earned his bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering at Utah State University, and his master's at Georgia Institute of Technology. He was an aerospace engineer at NASA for 10 years, and a chief nuclear technologist at Teledyne Brown Engineering. He currently works at Flibe Energy where he is the co-founder and chief technologist.
