Jeni Cross's lectures focus on community development and sustainability. Cross graduated with a BA from Colorado State University and received her PhD in Sociology from the University of California at Davis. Cross is currently a member of the faculty at Colorado State University teaching in the Sociology department.
Cross's research contributions focus on conservation, land use and community attachment. She has conducted participant-based research for the purposes of promoting health and community development. The US Department of Education and the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention have both offered her grants for her research. Cross offers her expertise at public schools, government and community agencies. Cross is currently conducting research on the energy sustainability in public schools.
