George Bonanno

George Bonanno’s keynotes on Psychopathology discuss his research findings on how people react and cope with traumatic events.

As a Professor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University, Bonanno focuses his research on how people cope before, during and after potentially traumatic events and the effect these events have on natural human resilience. He speaks about human resilience as well as about the factors that relate to being able to cope such as positive emotion, laughter, personality, and overall context of our lives.

He contributes to many texts and authored the book 'Other Side of Sadness: What the New Science of Bereavement Tells Us About Life After Loss.'
