After receiving his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 1986, Heath went on to achieve his PhD from Stanford University in 1991.
Upon working as an Assistant Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business from 1991 to 1997, Heath became an Associate Professor at Duke University from 1997 to 2000. He currently teaches Organizational Behaviour at Stanford University.
Alongside his brother Dan, Chip Heath published 'Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die' in 2007. Heath has been featured in a variety of academic journals for his ideas on human behaviors.
