Keynotes by Charlie Todd are as illuminating as they are entertaining. This is not surprising, as Todd is the founder of the New York City-based prank collective Improv Everywhere. Probably the most well-known antics from this admittedly offbeat organization are the now famous 'no pants' subway rides.
Todd has been directing, performing, producing and documentary Improv Everwhere's work for more than ten years. This has furnished him with enough material to write a book, which he did. Todd is the author of 'Causing a Scene,' which discusses the knitty gritty of improvisational acting. Similarly, Keynotes by Charlie Todd are full of inventive examples of improvisational comedy. Todd is also a performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, which is also a improvisational comedy collective, though here, he performs on a stage.
