Dean Kamen is the founder of First which has the goal of celebrating science and technology and creating a world where children dream of being technology and scientific leaders. He explains in his young minds keynote that we currently celebrate movies and celebrities, which is not of great benefit to society.
Dean feels that there needs to be a massive shift in the way the world operates. If people spent as much time and energy in science and technology the world would be evolving much faster. Poverty and illnesses would no longer be a problem and the entire world would be united in advancements.
