Designing Natural Technology

In this user interface keynote, Microsoft expert Steve Clayton delivers a speech on how important it is to make technology more natural and intuitive. Clayton discusses how the technology firm Microsoft is working towards a goal of making technology invisible with a drive to create 'natural user interfaces.' By removing the complexities of technology, companies can use the explosion of data and drive some intelligence from it.

Clayton sees the vision of the future where digital displays are at every surface where rooms are filled with intelligent participation and this technology will be able to anticipate the human needs. Technology that is starting to take on the capabilities of humans through gesture, sound and artificial intuition. Products such as the Kinect can recognize a human as he or she walks into the room creating for seamless interactions.
