Amy Green talks about her experience developing the video game 'That Dragon, Cancer' which is based on her son's life, who was diagnosed with cancer at a very young age.
In her TED talk, Green outlines a brief history of her young son's diagnosis, which came at a young age, and the fact that although he was only expected to live for a few months, he responded well to treatment and ended up living for years longer than what the family was initially told. While Joel was going through cancer, Green and her husband started the creation of the video game That Dragon, Cancer.
After her son passed, Green approached this powerful video game with a renewed passion and chose for it to convey the grief, hope, and faith that she and her family experienced throughout their son's short life.
