At 17-years-old, Sam Berns is a Junior at Foxboro High School and tells the story of him gaining the position of a percussion section leader in his high school's marching band.

Through a series of experimentation and trials, he manages to fulfill his dream of becoming a member of the marching band by constructing a snare drum harness that is lighter and easier to carry.
