Most current school systems are based on a rigid format of standardized testing and teaching that Ken Robinson believes hinders effective learning, which he discusses in this reform eduction speech.
The downfall of education isn't that it's not given enough emphasis, but that the focus of its improvement isn't concentrated in proper subject matters according to Robinson. People are different from another, which means that learning experiences also varies. Current teaching models are based on teaching on a mass basis, but the methodologies in school systems makes it ineffective means for children to learn. The focus is of current educational systems is based on narrow spectrum of achievement. For an effective learning experience to take place educators must find a balance between all the various subjects that encompass a student's curriculum.
