Rather than take, photographer Jonathan Mannion seeks to give a photo, a fact he makes especially clear in his photographic connection talk.

Looking back over his impressive career (which includes photographing eight of Jay-Z's album covers), Mannion explains that connection is of the utmost importance in photography. When someone believes in his vision, it is a moment of conversation, connection and ultimately, trust. Mannion goes on to say that we need to take the time to engage with these moments, which are precious, fleeting and have the potential to make a difference in people's lives.
