An Organizational Reinvention Keynote By Rene Carayol
Jonathon Brown — January 8, 2013 — Keynote Trends
In his organizational reinvention keynote, Rene Carayol speaks passionately about the need for organizations to take more risks during economic down turns.
He goes on to say that while most organizations "dip straight into tactical cost cutting," there is a need for reinvention. He sees the global economic recession as an opportunity for real, large scale reinvention because people will live with it right now.
During good times, people don't want change or leadership. The British especially, he says, don't want to be lead in a new direction (let alone any direction) when things are going well. However, when there is uncertainty, they call for leadership. He goes on to warn against making changes that aren't sustainable, but encourages measured reinvention
