Motivating With Urgency

John Kotter's perspective on business strategy is efficient and inspiring. Most recently, Kotter's writings have focused on developing a company into an important asset in any given market. He encourages the audience to create a sense of urgency within a company, arguing that upon implementing change within an organization, there should be a ripple effect of energy throughout the company.

The reactionary energy from change will create a series of decisions, which will speed the process of change and allow it to better flow. If company changes aren't establishing a certain amount of excitement within the community, they should probably be reconsidered. Beginning with the drafting process, there should be a tremor within the company environment.
