Unconditional Income Systems

In her universal basic income talk, Halldóra Mogensen makes an argument in favor of a system of unconditional income for all people. The speaker states "failure is inherent in all learning" and believes true freedom comes from equal opportunity and the ability to make choices based on what you could do to thrive, instead of what you have to do to survive.

Her definition of basic income is everyone receives a certain amount of money to make ends meet regardless of their circumstances. This would open things up, enabling citizens to take any work they choose and the money they receive from that job would be in addition to universal basic income. The basic income talk explores how this practice could enrich humanity at an individual level.
