Gerald Celente developed the Globalnomic method that is used to identify and forecast trends. He authored 'Trends 2000' and 'Trend Tracking: Far Better Than Megatrends.' In this speech, he discusses the advantage of staying ahead in the market.
Change is often viewed as daunting and challenging, but offers hidden opportunities for success. Celente reminds the audience that the pace of change is exponential. Using the metaphor of training, Celente says on his site, "The first rule of Close Combat is to attack the attacker. Action is faster than reaction. The same holds true for the future. You know the future is coming … attack it before it attacks you."
He finishes by saying that the coming era will boast a new way of doing business and that the new millennium is bigger than just a new frame of time.
