The Apple Keynote 2014 introduces us to the much anticipated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, along with several other innovations and products the company is launching.
The iPhone 6 features a smoother, sleeker design with rounded edges, and a camera lens that protrudes from its new body. Both the 6 and the 6 Plus are equipped with Retina HD screens, though the Plus measures a little larger: 5.5-inches, compared to the 6's 4.7-inches. Powered by a 64-bit A8 chip, the new iPhone will be up to 25% faster in terms of CPU, and 5% faster when it comes to graphics. Much like an iPad, the phone will tilt to landscape view when it is leaned sideways. The new 8MP iSight Camera features True Tone flash and a new sensor.
Apart from the iPhone, Tim Cook and his associates introduced several other products and services, such as Apple Pay. The new process will use Touch ID and NFC to approve purchases. The device number that is assigned to your phone, and used in lieu of your credit card number, can be cancelled in the event that your phone is stolen (without having any effect on your actual credit card). Lastly, the Apple Keynote confirmed the rampant rumors of an Apple Watch; the customizeable device will equipped with Siri and animated emojis.
